FAF is eager to encourage current and former foster youth to mentor current foster youth. The goal is that former foster youth will be able to teach life skills, share resources and privide foster children with support during their time in foster care.

We are currently looking to recruit volunteers to participate in the program. These include MENTORS, ADULT CONNECTORS, LEGAL ADVISORS, MUSICIANS, ARTISTS, EVENT COORDINATORS and COUNSELORS. If you have OTHER SKILLS to offer, we'd be delighted to have you on board. Get in touch!

3) You must be available for 20 hours of paid training in mentoring skills
4) You must be available for 2-4 hours/week of paid time with your Mentee.
5) You must show a willingness to better yourself in every way in order to better serve your mentee.

We will in turn pay you for your time as well as provide assistance with general things you may need to succeed.

We will also provide you with an Adult Connector, who will help you to navigate any difficulties that may arise.

An Adult Connector is someone who is available to our Mentors to offer guidance, practical advice and encouragement.

Volunteering other skills

We all have our unique skills and abilities. Whatever your strengths, our Mentors would benefit greatly from your experiences. Please donate your time here!
